I love the creation of Mrs. Harris's School for Heiresses because then we get awesome supporting characters and the mystery of Mrs. Harris herself. This story focuses on Amelia and Lucas. A high society lady and an American soldier. It was definitely refreshing to have the hero be American (you gotta switch it up now and then) and he's got all the emotional war wounds you can imagine so there's lots of conflict there to resolve. Amelia is lady who is high-spirited and yearns for adventure. Now throw in that Lucas may be investigating her stepmother and Amelia's got an unwanted suitor that won't leave her alone. The love scenes were appropriately steamy. I will definitely continue to see how this series plays out.
