I liked this book because It shows valuable lessons in it like don't drink and drive. The characters are all great and I like that it connects with the other two books in the trilogy.

"Tears of a Tiger is the first book in the Hazelwood High Trilogy and it comes right out the gate with a bang and it’s unforgettable. It is also Sharon M. Draper’s debut novel..."

We had to read this book for English, and I could not stand it. Though I give props for using the slang correctly, the poor grammer absolutely annoyed me. The concept of the book is way overdone, and after reading so many books with the same topic, they get boring. Unless they stand out of course. And this one did, just not in a good way. My favorite part of the book was their poem chapters. It made me stop wanting to bash my head in a wall, read them, then start bashing once more. No offense to the author, but this book was not my cup of tea.
