Sex and Morality in the U.S

An Empirical Enquiry Under the Auspices of the Kinsey Institute

Book - 1989
Rate this:
Results and analysis of a 1970 national survey of attitudes toward sexual behavior. The value of a recent interpretation of data collected a generation ago is historical, but of crucial importance to future research in sexual norms and cultural values. The long delay resulted from a dog fight over the order in which the authors' names would appear and the division of royalties (a sad commentary on the motives of "seekers after truth"); the delay grew as the Kinsey Institute reassessed its future, installed a new board, and named June M. Reinische as director. The chief squabblers were Klassen and Colin J. Williams. Eugene E. Levitt stood at the sidelines. Annotation(c) 2003 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
