I enjoyed it although I wouldn't say its so much told "from a soliders' perspective" but it is more a satirical glimpse of a soldier. It was witty at times, interesting at times a sometimes boring but all in all a good read.

I really enjoyed this novel. It was a gripping read that is impressive for its stream of consciousness-style concept (the entire novel takes place essentially in 6 hours). Each of the soldier characters were easy to bond with, and it brought a lot of light to the gap between my own perception of what I consider to mean supporting the troops and what supporting the troops actually means. Overall, a very worthwhile read.

In this book, Fountain presents a critical (although not scathing) picture of Bush's America. During this "victory tour" of war heroes, a producer is trying to obtain a movie deal (ironically, a movie of the book is coming out in 2016). Although the book is clever in some ways, I agree with the review in "The Guardian" that it is the voice of Fountain, not of an American soldier.

Fountain is effective in giving each member of Bravo a voice and perspective. The book did lose me a tad with the cheerleaders and Destiny's Child thrills. Worth the read to understand what veterans might be going through.

An excellent read. A very informative point of view on the Iraq War, from a soldier's perspective. All the characters are completely believable.

A soaring book that looks at heroism, war, love, celebrity, football and Hollywood. Enjoy the ride.

I greatly enjoyed this--I usually don't enjoy stream of consciousness writing but this was so vibrant and searing that I really got into it.

Open your mind and listen to war veterans. You are going to want to read this at least once.

I didn't think this book would hold my attention, being about soldiers watching football, but it wound up being so much more. The characterizations of all the Bravo company were witty and profane and real, and the insights that occur to Billy Lynn about the marketing and sales behind knee-jerk patriotism and war are thoughtful and spot-on.
