Add a CommentI am not enjoying the Godmothers series nearly as much as I enjoy the Weekend Warriors series. Everything just works out too well. It's not very believable (though neither is the Weekend Warriors series); it's not as entertaining is the bottom line for me. I'm not going to read further in this series.
I was so looking forward to this book as I read the first one and enjoyed it. I just couldn't get into this one. The "Godmothers" were constantly bickering, fighting, giving the finger to each other. It was hard to get interested in it. I marked completed because I returned it and did not read it. I was DONE with it. I probably won't read anymore of the "Godmother" series as I don't want to read about all the in fighting! I do love Fern Michaels and will continue to read her books.
Absolute drivel! Was this self-published, I wonder? The characters are ridiculous -- i.e. wealthy, popular, raging libidos at age 80 along with fantastic careers and in general, acting more like 25-year-olds. So unrealistic! I believe a reader would gain more by reading the labels of household cleaners than this foolishness. And . . . yes, I do think I could write better. Anyone could.
Had trouble getting past the first few pages. I just cannot relate to the characters.
Love the Godmother series and this book did not disappoint!! The first few chapters, again, seemed to add only fluff with little substance. Overall, thoroughly enjoyed this read from Fern Michaels!!
I love reading Fern Michaels books. I can hardly wait for a new one to be released.
I used to love reading Fern Michaels' books. However, of late her books are not on par with her usual style.
I think I will pass on the next one in this series as it is steadily going downhill. Not a good read
