"Jill loves playing with her friends. But sometimes she doesn't always want to do what they want to do. Jill is afraid if she says 'No' and doesn't go along with her friends, they won't like her anymore and won't want to play with her. So she keeps quiet and doesn't dare speak up. How Jill gains the confidence to say 'No' and earns the respect of her friends at the same time is the heart of this encouraging story."

This book starts off well by showing situations where the main character should have said, "No," and the consequences when she didn't. The turning point came when her mother showed her that she was saying no to herself when she did things she didn't want to or shouldn't do.
But then the book ends abruptly, without examples of her saying, "No" in appropriate circumstances. One of the negative examples should have been dropped to make room for a few positive ones.
