Clear, precise steps for teaching an individual how to read, starting with CV and building up. My 4 year old was reading CCVC and CVCC words within 2 or 3 months. Checked this out when a friend, a teacher, recommended what she called the ladder system, which this book essentially teaches. Phonics is the only way to go, and this book makes it easy!
