Really love this book and being here in Austin where the author also lives, I've had a bit of a chance to follow the development of it. She is a talented, delightful young woman actually from Peru - and her family had way more direct experience with kidnappings than anyone would want.

So, while it is written as fiction, and the research behind it was exemplary, there is also more insight into the reality of this in Peru than a casual reader may realize.
