Tells the comedic story of ageing partners Freddie and Stuart, two men who have lived together in their Covent Garden flat for nearly 50 years. Vicious is simply delicious! Full of acerbic wit and funny banter! Over the top camp humor! feels like watching a funny one-act play. It is simply wonderful to see two accomplished and prestigious actors having fun with their roles as an elderly gay couple who constantly fight and find fault with each other.

I liked Season One.
I liked Season Two.
I watched the finale, but they could have skipped making it.

I had read generally negative reviews, but gave it a try and loved it!!! Have watched some episodes twice and would happily watch them again. Can't wait for the 2nd series if there is a second. Fingers crossed.

Once agene BBC has out done themselves, this is to be a classic like “Doctors in the House” and so many more… I was rolling on the floor laughing “don’t eat dinner while watching you may choke” 

Apparently one loves or hates this bit of Brit. I cringe at the waste of talent, but it's just not to my tastes. Awful, mean, trite, forced laughs.

With such talented actors I thought this series would be good. Instead it's just coarse and mean spirited. The supposed wit is rarely clever or funny, as the writers rely mostly on crude references to provide what passes for humor. If you like the same sort of thing on SNL, you might like this too. Personally, I think it's more like little boys on the playground yelling, "Pee pee" and "pooh pooh" for effect.

By episode 4, I realized I was watching a true comedy classic. You'll be laughing out loud and the performances are all perfect. Ian McKlellan wins my vote for funniest performance, but only by an old man's gray hair 'down there'. Jakobi is almost as funny. I live an empty, lonely, partnerless life, so as soon as I finished this wonderful set I wanted to post my review and be part of the community here at SPL. Thanks for reading. Oh...I could do without the laugh track...but what can you do?

I thought this was one of the funniest sitcoms I've seen in a long time. They are a long term couple who amuse themselves by taking out their frustrations on each other.

When I saw the cover of the DVD, my first thought was that it was a British mystery show. Other than Luther, I'm not fond of them, but since Ian McKellen & Derek Jacobi were in it, then it might be pretty good. Wow, did I mis-assess the situation. Story of an old gay couple who constantly make fun of each other and their friends. The insults come a mile at a minute, some are amusing and some are LOL funny. Whether the setting is a department store, a junkyard, a living room or even a Benny Hill skit, it's typical British humour with laugh track provided. Unfortunately, it was just not hysterically funny for me to want to see more seasons.
