mostly a rehash of things from TV. Did not cover many rumours I have heard on the internet.

Don't judge! I am fascinated by the Kardashians - this family could only happen in LA. Addicted to social media, culturally shallow, not exactly over-educated - and yet rich and powerful under their own steam - so you gotta hand it to them. On the plus side - clearly great business acumen, intense family loyalty, and obviously not infected with racial prejudice.
This is good on the inside business story, and how mom K. figured out how to make millions off her family story - sometimes in ethically dubious ways - what kind of parent makes money from her daughter's sextape?

I didn't pick this up expecting any incisive, hard-hitting observations from Halperin about the Kardashians, or how they're contributing to the collapse of society, so I enjoyed this for what it is: a middling and almost apologetic review of America's favourite trash TV family.

Surprisingly, the character who emerges as the most interesting is Kris Jenner, the daughter of a divorced small business owner who shrewdly made lemonade out of one daughter's sex-tape lemons.

I enjoyed reading this book.
