The New York Times bestselling Cackleberry Club Mysteries serve up another delicious whodunit featuring friendship, murder, and one spectacular breakfast after another. After losing their husbands, Suzanne, Toni, and Petra bonded, gaining a newfound independence as well as a wealth of support, inspiration, home baked goods, and their own business. But who would have dreamed that when the Cackleberry Club caf#65533; opened its doors, the three women would be serving justice to criminals . . . Sleuthing is never over easy. Getting ready for Halloween, the ladies at the Cackleberry Club caf#65533; are busy carving jack-o'-lanterns, stocking up on candy, and baking pumpkin bread. But someone's jumped the gun on the tricks. As mayoral candidate Chuck Peebler leaves the caf#65533;, he gets struck with a crossbow arrow and is killed instantly. When another murder occurs on the historical society's Quilt Trail, there's no disguising it - a murderer is running loose in the town of Kindred. Now Suzanne's on the beat to sniff out one bad egg . . . Praise for the series 'Plenty of humor, emotion, good food (with recipes), and fantastic plotline.' Fresh Fiction

Good book - for once I could not guess the killer ahead of time and had to wait until the second last chapter.

There's alot of chatting and socializing and serving of food. A bit too "cozy" in that way.
