The first 3 in this series were about 5 years ago, so successful that Shepherd is writing more.
Surprisingly, this is as good or even better than the earlier ones.
He has his android heroine adopt 3 children, finessing and freshening his formula.

In common with all: unique insights into military applications of inside-skull internet and unusual political/social savvy. Shouldn't work [politics buffs, tech nuts and let-the-fur-fly violence enjoyers would seem to be contradictory markets] but does.
Only tiny quibble- clumsy overuse of obscenity.
Read all of them! You'll have fun and absorb some interesting ideas.
