Raunchy, fitfully funny sports comedy loosely inspired by Tonya Harding and Kerri Strug. Michelle Rauch, who also co-wrote, plays a foul-mouthed, washed-up Olympic gymnast who finds redemption by training a young woman. Rauch is a powerhouse in the lead and the rich supporting cast includes Gary Cole, Sebastian Stan (who was also in the Tonya Harding movie), Thomas Middleditch ("Silicon Valley"), and Cecily Strong ("SNL"). It's entertaining, mostly for the performances, but could've been funnier.

This movie is terrifying: you just Hope that she is only a fictional character. The behavior of the main character and her omnipresent course language was hurting both my eyes and ears and made the storyline impossible to enjoy. I wish I had spent my time on something substantial.

Too many f-bombs. Interesting take on the 'famous has-been' scenario. Occasionally funny.

Disappointing. Had hoped for much more - and better - humor, but what is offered is too often overwhelmed by the sheer nastiness of the extremely shallow main character, Hope (which is too bad because Melissa Rauch is usually much funnier), and the plot is often too silly to have any merit. Thomas Middleditch, on the other hand, is a breath of fresh air as Ben, the tic-ridden "assistant" to the terrible Hope. There's also one really quite frightening, albeit wondrously(??) choreographed sex scene between two very active gymnasts (absolutely NOT for children, or most anyone, really), that you'll never be able to un-see.

It really loaded movie. A lot of F words and other "bad" words. Main character is unpleasant. however if you bare with it in the end it is a movie about how you make yourself better and out of tragedy which drags you down.

its the Kerry Strug story but with a new twist. I thought it was pretty funny, with some serious moments but most of all you just have to hate the main character played by Melissa Rouch. I doubt I'd ever watch it again but it had a lot going for it including a raunchy sex scene, so that's how gymnasts do it.

Tons of F words in this comedy drama that exploited the sport of gymnastics and the psychological issues of athletes after debilitating injuries. The acrobatic bedroom scene (simulated, body double and heavily photo-shopped) was shocking but inventive. Highly entertaining if you can stand the raunchy language, catty behaviors and raw sexual references; similar films are "Freeway 1996," "Filth 2013," "Sausage Party 2016," "Why Him? 2016," "The Heat 2013," "Trainwreck 2015," "Get Hard 2015" and most films by Sacha Baron Cohen.

This movie had me laughing so hard my stomach hurt! I used to participate in gymnastics, so the gymnastics humor especially got me. The way the lines were delivered was absolute gold.

A sort of commentary of the rise and fall of elite athletes. The tragedy when people have nothing else in their lives to balance them out or to strive for. Also a reflection of the objectification of women and the sad ramifications of a woman's sense of self due to these experiences.
