Brilliantly done for a TV series. The aliens are not shown; they are just a mysterious presence so that one has to wonder, for the first seven episodes, if they are real or a way for the government to control its people. The petty actions of some characters shows the bravery of others in stark contrast. There is also a contrast of how far one father will go to save his son and how little one father is willing to do for his daughter. Families torn apart not just by the invasion, but also by members' different ways of dealing with a siege that is certain to end in the end of the human race. I could not figure out who to trust; I could not decide who was taking the best course, and I certainly could not support the "government" employees chosen by the alien invaders. Highly recommend for classic sci-fi fans.

A rip off of the genre tropes of Fear the Walking Dead.
Does the word "tedious" ring a bell?
Soap opera tedium, ad nauseam.

Tense, futuristic thriller series which poses the moral question of how far you would collaborate with the enemy to protect your family. In BTS, we learn the creators of the show were inspired by a WWII photos of Nazis parading through a Paris café, with customers seemingly not overly bothered by the impending doom. Will Bowman, (Josh Holloway) is tabbed by the standing government to find the rebel leader, Geronimo. In exchange, he is promised the return of his son who has disappeared. SPOILER ALERT: Little does Will know that members of his own family are in league with the rebels. What follows is suspenseful as all try to keep their allegiances secret. This series reminded me of spy thrillers of the 60's and 70's, where espionage is around every corner, and survival means keeping your true identity secret.
