She's also missing the fear gene. All Gaia wants is to be like everyone else. Instead, she's left wondering about her past, her missing family--and the unavailable boy she's falling for. it's a little confusing at first, because the writing method is different from what i usually read. so the first chapters where confusing, since every now and then it felt like a diary entry or an inside to one of the characters' thoughts.

Such a gripping story to the cover and end! some content not good for kids though.

Parents and teachers, this is a really good read. If you want your child or student to get into reading for themselves and out of enjoyment this is the book to give them. This book does have violence, sex, and harsh language but it makes for a read for a good read for young adults. Pascal pulls you in with her characters and keeps your attention. She makes you feel as if you are in the story yourself and you're watching the action take place, she connects you with her main character, Gaia. I would recommend this to mature teenages and youung adults.

"Do you know what hell is? I do. It's not fire and brimstone. Not for me, anyways....It's seeing your father-a man you believe was a superhero-for the first time after five long years only to discover he was a dishonorable creek show all along."
