Oliver Johnson expresses his pleasure that William Lloyd Garrison will be in attendance at the "Pa. Anniversary", and invites Garrison to spend two-three days at his household in New York City as he passes to Pennsylvania. Johnson states that he would like to return the hospitality shown to him by Garrison, and that he has several friends whom he would like to introduce to Garrison, stating that it would be in the "best interests of the cause, and especially of the Standard", to do so.
