Michael, Darcy's brother who was missing for 20 years and finally found and brought back home by Darcy in a previous novel, turns out to have been into seriously illegal activities since he was a teenager. Someone, perhaps a crime lord, is after Michael and his family members. Darcy with the help of her sisters and brothers finds the assassin, but the novel ends not completely resolved. Less of the Zen and the Stunt Double depictions than I prefer.
